Today, I'm begining with a detail shot of some of the works highlighted in yesterday's post. I realized today that the shot was so far away, it was difficult to see the individual pieces. Unfortunately that's the problem with a MASSIVE group show--the best way to see it is, of course, in person. Friday is Field Trip Day!

I ran out to Location One for a quick SoHo field trip this afternoon to check out Rudy Shepherd's exhibition:

above: Rudy Shepherd's exhibition includes large-scale paintings from The Healers series (bottom), as well as numerous portraits from both his Criminal/Victims series and The Taliban series (top).

The 'machine' bathes the viewer in scrolling grid-ed light as the light bulb moves around inside the cage. Very, very beautiful.

Both exhibitions are on view at Location One through July 31st.
