There is only one cheetah in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. Which brings me to my SAFARI FACT #3: Male elephants pee on themselves when "in musth" (mating season). Photo courtesy of Heather, who can confirm that the male elephants are stinky.
Heather's finally back from South Africa. I'm happy to report that Heather has returned with all of her limbs intact. And here's her Safari fact for the day: "A hyaena's jaws are as strong as a Great White's." Enjoy.
