Joseph Smolinski's "RIP Jetty," 2009-2010 was included in his exhibition Beginning of the End last month at Mixed Greens. And while this floor "oil spill" refers specifically to Smolinski's apocalyptic vision of an oil spill near Smithson's Spiral Jetty, it does seem almost as if Smolinski was warning us of a larger disaster...in the Gulf.
